25 Week Baby Update

No we haven't forgotten our 2nd child...how could I forget when I have a basketball sticking out of my belly! I'm feeling HUGE already, but am thankful that I'm continuing to feel pretty good overall. For the most part I'm still sleeping for the most part, and my only major complaint is that I'm having some pain from my round ligaments and shifting bones! All part of the fun I guess. At my appointment last week we started talking about when we will schedule my c-section! YIKES...It just made it seem like reality, this baby is going to be here before we know it! I've been asked several times if I have the nursery ready...nope, I do have newborn diapers and a friend dropped off her bassinet for us to borrow this week, that's about all right now :) I also get asked if we have names...nope, we don't agree, why argue about it now right?

I think this baby is lazier then G was at this stage...sugar does make it move and it likes to exercise before I go to bed at night. Hopefully Cary will be able to feel it moving soon.

We leave for our babymoon next week, I'm so looking forward to spending some lazy time in the sun with Cary and enjoying some peaceful meals! I'm not looking forward to sporting a maternity swimsuit...but willing to sacrifice for the trip!

Any guesses on the gender of Baby K #2?

Spring is Here!

We are excited that the sun has finally decided to return, and are taking advantage of being outside as much as we can! I'm amazed at how much Gavin has changed from last summer...he loves being outside, in fact we usually have to bribe him or drag him inside.

Peek...looking out from the playhouse at the park
He can do all the ladders on the playground now, except the rock wall...no fears here!

Look who we found on our walk...

Our cute little godson... Liam is at the stage G was last year, still a bit clumsy and ALL OVER THE PLACE!

This bike is seriously the best...G doesn't care to be in his stroller for walks around the neighborhood anymore.

Spring Training...

Our little slugger getting in some batting practice, not the greatest picture, but it was a great hit!

Gavin got a Hot Wheel for his birthday from Dan and Kristi so this weekend we decided to get it out!

Daddy reading directions...and G was trying to wait very Patiently!

Finally time for a test drive, it was totally worth the wait! He's cruising all over the house.

Nakie Driver...watch out, here I come

In preparation for our vacation we joined the McNamara's out for some Mexican food

Gavin and Daddy had some...

Dos XX

G won the chugging contest! Just teasing, it was empty of course, but he does look like a pro!

Gavin continues to LOVE to help, especially in the kitchen! Even though he is NOT so helpful most of the time, we really are trying to let him do as much as he can. Look how proud he is to be helping me wash lettuce for a salad!

Chef G at work!

Gavin's language is exploding every day! The other day he said, " I did not know that"...Cary and I look at each other and said...what did you just say? WOW..we really need to watch what we are saying. He can also count to 5, and knows most of his colors and shapes! He is also starting to sing quite a bit. I look at him and ask myself...where did my baby go?

We aren't Irish, but St. Patty's day was a good excuse for a cute t-shirt...

and and excuse to eat green foods...

like pickles and asparagus...see my pickle (he loves them just as much as his mom)

Saturday we helped Spencer celebrate his 2nd birthday

G was talking about cake from the moment he saw the invite...

yeah for Spencer and for cake

We also joined Monica and Thomas at the Children's Museum this week...

G liked the little dinosaur, but was scared of the big ones! We had a blast, and he fell asleep on the way home!

Gavin is also really starting to notice when all 3 of us are not around and is asking...Daddy go? or Mommy go? Friday night Grandma B babysat so Cary and I could go to the Pipestone Girl's basketball game. Grandma reported G was a good boy, but was sad and asking where we were. I hope he isn't sad the whole time we are in Mexico or it could be a long week for both G and Grandma!

Sorry this post was kind of long...but we've been busy and our boy is just too dang cute!

Ducky in the Tub!

Gavin has taken a liking to taking tubbies in our big tub! I can't say I blame him, there is a lot more room for him to "swim around"! Cary and I were in our bedroom one night while Gavin was in the tub, all of a sudden we heard, "Duck in the tubby"...this is what we found:

"Quack Quack!"

Checking out the duck's bill

He can turn this face on and off like a light switch

Tony and Amanda's new baby, Mateo

Luciana and Gavin on our visit to see Mateo

Grandma B came and joined Gavin for music class

Gavin enjoying a splash of o.j. at the island

Ahhh! O.J. is good!

Carrot sticks work like drum sticks too!

Carrot clack clack clack

For some reason the toy bin is the new favorite

Desitin application # 3!
Within 30 seconds of silence and daddy runny upstairs, we found Gavin in his room. Even with the desitin tube in a sealed zip lock and closed rubbermaid tub, he managed to do this! Now every desitin tube is out of reach......we think.

High Five????

Out cold!
Even though he slept well last night, he was tired by 9:45 a.m. and was whiney. Daddy told him to get his crying pillow and get up on the couch with him. Within 5 minutes he was out for an hour, drooling on the pillow. Doesn't he look so sweet?
