Family Time

We have been lucky to have the past 3 weekends free and have spent lots of time hanging out as a family! We've visited parks, went to the state fair, and spent time with the neighbors. It is really starting to hit me how big Gavin is getting...it seems that no park is "too big" for him now, walking is no longer a term in our vocabulary...we run everywhere, and he is starting to talk more and more. His newest trick is to point his finger at you and say "Don't"...I'm telling myself he is learning that from daycare, not from us! He is also ALL BOY...he loves trucks, tractors, making animal sounds, and Elmo.

We ventured to Eau Claire on Thursday for a play date with Finley and Heather at Irvine Park.
We started on the slides
We fed the ducksWe swung on the swings

We looked at the animalsand we finished off our visit with chocolate pudding at Pizza Del Rae! We were lucky enough to have lunch with Scott and Kitt.
We caught Grandma B playing hooky one afternoon, and convinced her to stop and meet us for dinner...

Gavin looks so old to me in this picture...I think his face is starting to loose the baby look :(

This lemon looks fun

So Sour!

Earlier this summer we purchased a county park pass...we spent Labor Day Saturday hanging out at Perch Lake Park.
Handsome Boys
Yes...he did crawl up that ladder by himself! (a little birdy told me Cary could crawl to the top of the grain bin by the time he was 2, must be in his genes)

Rough landing!
We were the people who swore we would never bring a stroller to the State Fair...guess what, we did it anyhow! How things change when you actually have a baby! Needless to say we had a good time!
Gavin loved looking at the tractors, petting the animals and sharing treats with mom and dad including cheese curds and deep fried pickles!

G had to show off his "fair ears" to Dan when we stopped over to wish him a happy birthday!

Future Gangster??? I sure hope not!

Liam and his family came for dinner one night...Liam enjoyed carrots, while the rest of us preferred crab legs and ribs!

Gavin helped me get out his fall clothes...and decided to model his winter coat and snowpants. (we are hoping he won't need to wear them again any time soon)

We also paid a visit to Teddy Bear Park..
Hi MomOur little man is getting pretty strong
