Trip to Arizona

We decided to take advantage of my 1st week working part time and head down to visit the Plumbs in Arizona! Ingrid and Kevin's little girl, Annika, is only 9 weeks younger than Gavin and we had a blast watching them play (and it was an added bonus that they had an extra of everything we needed from a car seat to a pack and play). Here's a brief overview of our vacation...and then lots of pictures!

We left Thursday afternoon...I was a little nervous about how Gavin would do on the plane because he is quite "active" these days. Once again he amazed me and slept across our laps for 1.5 hours and then watched a DVD until we landed! What a trooper. This was Gavin's 3rd round trip flight (what a lucky boy!!!), I have a feeling it might be the last for awhile though because after December he won't be free anymore!

Yum, cookies!
Thursday night Kevin cooked us a great steak dinner and the kids played! Annika and Gavin did great, but it sure is hard to share your toys at your own house!

Bath time is more fun with a friend

Gavin thought Annika's shoes were pretty cute!

Surprisingly even with the 2 hour time change, Annika was up before Gavin so when we all got up we packed up the car and headed to a tot water park. The kids ran around in the water and then headed to the playground equipment...we were all worn out when we left. We spent Friday afternoon swimming, playing and then went out for dinner. Once the babies were in bed, Ingrid and I headed to the casino, (after playing black jack for 4 hours we both came home winners).

G knows you must stay hydrated when it is 100+ degrees out

Saturday we spent the morning swimming and getting ready for an afternoon bbq and pool party. It was fun to meet some of Ingrid and Kevin's AZ friends...and also to see some of our WI friends!Cool Dude (in pink sunglasses)

Chocolate Chip cookies make diaper changes so much better

G was a trooper once again on the way home, although he only slept for 30 minutes on the way home...he and daddy watched movies while mom slept. We had a great trip, and we were all happily exhausted when we got home!Who knew you could watch Elmo on the Itouch?

Don't unpack...I'm ready to go again!
