Christmas...one we won't soon forget

This picture breaks my heart...he looks so sad

We had been counting down the days and talking about all things Christmas waiting for Santa to come! We had planned to spend Christmas Eve with just the 4 of us going swimming during the day, heading to church, making steak and crab for dinner and then opening presents! Well...that didn't exactly happen and was all easily post-poned (see below for details), but you can't really post-pone Santa coming! I had been shopping for what seemed like months to get the perfect gifts for my babies...while Maddie and I were hanging out in the hospital Cary went home to play Santa for Gavin. The pictures pretty much tell the story...poor G liked his presents, but he definitely knew something was wrong when Mama and Maddie weren't there!

I guess this goes to show that Christmas really isn't about the presents...

After Gavin opened up his presents from Santa, they came up to visit us at the hospital. Who knew Santa would find us in the hospital, and he even brought a gift for Gavin! Gavin was happy to help unwrap the gift for him and Maddie as well.
When we got home on Monday we opened up our other gifts...the kids got a kitchen and all the gadgets to go with it. Gavin has spent lots of time cooking up food for us, and I'm sure Maddie will enjoy it someday too!

On Tuesday we headed over to Rob and Peg's to celebrate Christmas with them...once again the kids were spoiled and we had a good time hanging out as a family! Who knew a garbage truck would be SO exciting!

and Maddie got her first baby, which she LOVES!

Sadly we missed the Krusemark Christmas again this year, but hopefully we will be able to spend some time together soon.
