Spring Break

Guess who???

a little leprechaun?
The hottest new movie star?

Nope, just cute little G!!!
G is getting to be such a big boy...here are a few shots from the past couple of weeks...
G loves to read with mommy, daddy or alone!

G loves to play on the stairs...umm Daddy, where are my clothes?

cruising around Lowe's...

Running away from home

Most of the time, G is full of smiles!
Gavin is starting to turn into a little monkey, he can now climb in and out of the toy box! NOTHING is safe at our house anymore!

Snuggling with Princess Ella

Cary and I spent spring break in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, while Gavin ventured to Chippewa Falls to hang out with Grandma B! Grandma B doesn't use a camera so we don't have pictures to share of his trip...but I have included a few of ours! Overall Cary and I had a great time in Cabo, and had a very boring vacation by most people's standards...but for us it was just what we needed! Laid by the pool and read all day, a quiet - uninterrupted dinner, and early to bed! Oh yeah, and we may have enjoyed a mojito or a cerveza here and there! Overall a great vacation...but by Friday we were ready to get home and see our little G. In fact, there was a minor argument about who would get in the door first to see him! We were both amazed by how much he had changed in just 6 days!

Sunset wine and jazz cruise

View from our lawn chairs...yes that is the swim up bar!
And we will leave you with a laugh...Cary had a bad sunburn incident...his back ended up saying Stanford...just like the shirt that was laying on the back of his lawn chair, and no I didn't have anything to do with it!

"March"ing

Wow, time flies and the blog is behind.

(I'm leavin' on a Jet Plane....)

(Kit and the Gavin-ator)

(Gavin and George)

Ok, so I'll keep it short and sweet as Jill is sleeping and I'm wrapping up some work stuff and watching the news.

(Rrroar!!!)

(Busted!)

We've survived a spell of the sniffles for Gavin this past week or so. Nothing like hugging our little boy and getting a good wiff of Vick's vapor rub. He was lubed up like a greased pig each night, but it seemed to help.

(Hmm, it seems a bit big)

(I love the tupperware drawer!!!)

Gavin has been a trooper and has still managed to terrorize the house as he is "stooping" and recovering, banging things on the coffee table that shouldn't be, and in general, pushing anything with wheels. Auntie Steph will be so proud.

(I love trucks!)

He's Walking...watch out!

For all of you loyal blog followers, sorry for the delay...but we've been having too much fun to stop and write about it. Here are just a few highlights...
Yes...those are my pants on my head, silly Daddy!

The biggest Gavin update is that HE'S WALKIKNG...or watch out here I come! He's still a bit like a drunkin sailor, and will crawl if he wants to get somewhere fast! Walking now means that he can reach the blinds, drawers, and most anything else he wants to get into.

What a Big Boy

There's a new man in town...our good friends Kristi and Dan welcomed Liam on Jan 27th. I'm pretty sure Gavin and Liam are going to be good buds, but for now I'm enjoying snuggling him when I can since Liam will actually still snuggle in my arms!
Gavin and Liam finally got to meet when the McNamara's came for our first bbq of the season!
This was Gavin's hairdo after dinner one night, guess who needed a haircut?
Mom and Dad went on a date to the rodeo and Gavin stayed at Eric and Nikki's. Nikki was nice enough to give him a "big boy" haircut. Sorry I don't have the pictures from her yet. Trust me though I'm happy there is no more baby mullet!
We have had a couple of play dates and swim dates with Luciana, Gavin and Luciana love to play in the ball pit together and chase each other through the tunnel! We are still working on sharing toys...that's a bit harder when you are 1.
Looks like Luciana is trying to claim Gavin as her Valentine!
Chili night...

Oh no...I just realized this mess isn't going to be fun to get cleaned off my face!

G all bundled up to play outside!

Mommy and G at the PTO fundraiser!

G pretending he was the Asst. to Principal Daddy at the PTO fundraiser

G is quite the artist these days, here are some of his Valentine projects

Last weekend we took a road trip to St. Cloud to do some shopping at the outlet mall, and spent the night in a hotel swimming with Steph, Stacy, Kaden and Kylie. A busy day sure wears a little guy out! The good thing about staying in a hotel, I can see mom and dad when I stand up in my pack and play in the morning...they can't pretend they don't see or hear me!

Watch out...here I come!

Back to our Normal Routine

We are officially back in the swing of things...no more vacation :(

The day after we got back from Cancun it was time to switch Gavin from formula to cow's milk...and to take away his bottle. Our doctor recommended a cold turkey switch so that's what we went with...Saturday morning Gavin wasn't too happy when his bottle of warm formula was replaced with a cold sippy cup of milk. In fact he threw it at me and refused to take a drink, lunchtime followed the same act. By Saturday afternoon we had a crabby, hungry boy on our hands, but that didn't last too long! By Saturday night Gavin had decided he wasn't going to win that battle and gave in. He is a sippy pro now, the only adjustment is getting past the fact that he is starving when he wakes up in the morning.

Sunday we drove to Rice Lake to spend some time with my whole family, Grandma had invited us all to lunch and we enjoyed spending time together.

Grandma and her boys

Gavin loves hanging with his Dad

Gavin is getting more playful every day. He loves to play catch, play with his baseball game, in his ball pit and with his busy ball popper. We have also been taking him swimming at the Y, he loves splashing around and is getting to be quite a brave little fish. He is starting to talk more...his vocab now includes dadadadada, mamama, uh oh, ball and light.

Gavin has been a good eater, although one day he loves something and then the next won't touch it. Daddy treated Gavin to pancakes and syrup...which created a hyper little mad man! He was cruising around the living room and crawling around in circles.

What a funny little boy G is

Gavin started a new daycare when we got back, although we really liked Emily and Renee, they were only temporary until our next door neighbor Kerri could take him in. Yes, I said next door neighbor, it doesn't get more convenient than that! Things seem to be going very well, and he comes home happy and often with art projects he has done (including an Elmo made from a toilet paper roll that he had eaten half of).

It is getting harder and harder to get pictures of Gavin, he doesn't sit still long enough or won't look at the camera!

Saturday Ingrid and Annika stopped by to play. Gavin loved having a playmate, but wasn't so excited about sharing his toys. Guess we need to work on that!
